Updated advice for schools around safety in relation to Covid was issued by the Scottish government on Friday, 30th October and came into place from 6am this morning, Monday, 2nd November. Our school is adapting our risk assessments in light of this and these will be updated on our school website.
I made parents aware at the gates this morning and afternoon of the main changes concerning face coverings included in this;
“Face coverings should be worn by adults wherever they cannot maintain a 2m distance from other adults, and also at all times when moving around the setting in corridors, office and admin areas, canteens (except when dining) and other confined communal areas, (including toilets), except where a person is exempt from wearing a covering.
Face coverings should be strongly encouraged for parents and other visitors to the setting (whether entering the building or otherwise), including parents at drop-off and pick-up.”
We thank you for your understanding as we continue to ensure we follow government guidance to enable us to have a safe and supportive environment.
